If it can not repair a complaint it gets put in a vault. Accessing it will re-activate a virus as well as could all rabble your system. You could try restoring it, afterwards download malwarebytes from http://malwarebytes.org. Scan a machine. It might repair it, though if it is really bad putrescent it will undo it. Norton is not most great during repair files. And if a record is really bad putrescent it might already have mislaid all your data.
