WabSync utility helps to keep Outlook Express address book files (*.wab) up to date for all users within LAN. This program will automatically search for wab files in selected computer and add data from source wab file to destination. It is useful to made changes in company contact list without installing and maintaining LDAP server.
Requirements
Before installing WabSync make sure that your system satisfy with the following minimum requirements:
Operation system:
Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000, ME, XP, 2003
Network:
Local Area Network connection established, configured as window NT domain
Login:
You must be logged in as administrator to connect the network resources and to know the credentials for shared resources
Configuration concept
To properly configure the WabSync software you need to complete basically 3 main steps:
1. Search for computers within a network or add your own computers manually
Within main module select a “Search for computers” option to automatically load all available computers into tree. If some computers currently unavailable you can add them manually by typing domain/workgoup name and the name of the PC. You can also save configuration to file and load it from file without searching for network.
2. Request available wab files for each selected computers and provide a login and password for each computer to connect.
After you have select a computer you need to find wab files by clicking “Search wab” button or add them manuall by clicking “Add manually” button. After that you need to specify a logon attributes and save configuration for selected computer. Then repeat this step for each computer you would like to connect to.
3. Export records from source wab files to all selected computers
After you have configure wab file for all desired computers you need to select “Start sync dialog” menu item. Then select computers you would like to write data to and press Start button.

Search for computers
By selecting this menu item the program will clear all displayed computers and will start searching for all available computers and domains within local network.
Add computer manually
By selecting this menu item the program will prompt you to enter a domain/workgroup and computer name and will add defined computer to network tree.
Delete computer/domain
After selecting certain computer or domain you can delete it by selecting this menu item.
Load network from file
After you have define the network structure you can save it to file and load in the future without searching network again
Save network to file

Exit
Close the software window
Start sync dialog
Will show you a dialog to select computers being updated. After pressing start button you will have prompted for source wab file to export.
